Taylor Swift Magazine Cover Design & Feature Spread

For this genre remediation project, I designed a full magazine cover and accompanying feature article centered on Taylor Swift’s 2022 NYU commencement speech. I created a bold, fashion-inspired cover layout and wrote a compelling article that blends cultural analysis with narrative storytelling. The piece highlights Swift’s resilience, public challenges, and creative journey, reflecting my ability to merge strong visual design with clear, engaging writing. This project demonstrates my skills in editorial design, headline development, and feature-style journalism.

Folio “Visiting Scholars” Feature Article

For this project, I teamed up with two of my classmates to write a feature article for the College of Charleston English Department’s annual newsletter, Folio. We examined how visiting scholars at the CofC are reshaping conversations around the humanities at a time when artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving. Through interviews and coverage of talks by scholars Annette Vee and Eric Hayot, I examined how technology, writing, and liberal arts education intersect, highlighting the enduring relevance of humanistic inquiry in a tech-driven world.

Starbucks Sustainability Marketing Recommendation Report

In this report for my technical writing class, I developed a comprehensive professional recommendation proposing new marketing strategies to strengthen Starbucks’ sustainability and ethical sourcing image. Through audience analysis, industry research, and detailed proposals, I outlined how the company could use coffee cup messaging, redesigned packaging, in-store displays, and interactive media to better communicate its eco-friendly practices. The report reflects my ability to produce formal workplace documents, synthesize research into actionable strategies, and tailor communication to a corporate executive audience.
